During stay in Genova, students live in their exchange partners homes, attend school, visit the surrounding areas, and immerse themselves into Italian culture. Exchange partners will travel to WV the follwowing spring, attend HHS, and enjoy WV country life.
Departure from Genova in the morning, in the afternoon, boarding from the port of Ancona (time to be defined) and passage by ferry to Igoumenitsa. Dinner and overnight on board (multiple cabins).
Igoumenitsa / Kalambaka (or surroundings): in the morning arrival in Igoumenitsa. Disembarkation and continuation to Kalambaka, a village located at the foot of the Meteora monasteries. Meeting with the guide and visit of the famous Meteors, sandstone rocks that rise from the surrounding plains to the sky. Lunch on your own. At the end of hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight.
Kalambaka (or surroundings) / Delphi / Olympia: breakfast at the hotel and departure for Delphi, located in a spectacular position on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Guided tour of the famous oracle of Apollo known for the prophecies of the Pythia in trance, in these places the ancient peoples went before making important decisions, to find out if the gods were favorable or adverse in the near battle. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon proceed to Olympia. Hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight.

Olympia / Kalamata / Sparta / Tolo: After breakfast at the hotel, a morning dedicated to the visit of the archaeological site of Olympia, cradle of the Olympic Games (the Stadium, the Palestra, the Temple of Hera and Zeus and the Museum containing some unique sculptures, in particular the Nike (victory) of Peonio and the fascinating marble sculpture "Hermes with Dionysus." Continue to Sparta with stop for lunch on your own in Kalamata. At arrival in Sparta, meeting with the guide and visit of one of the largest and most influential poleis of ancient Greece, located in the center of the Laconia in the Peloponnese around the tenth century BC. At the end continued for Tolo. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight

Tolo / Mycenae / Nauplius / Epidaurus / Tolo: Breakfast at the hotel and full day dedicated to visiting this characteristic village located in the Peloponnese peninsula. Continuation of the visit to the archaeological site of Mycenae with the treasure of Atreus, a dome-shaped tomb with an impressive structure; the Porta of the Lions, an impressive sculpted pediment dating back to the 13th century B.C. the ruins of the Cyclopean walls and the poor remains of the Royal Palace, destroyed by a fire in 1200 BC Afterwards, a short visit to Nauplius, the first capital of modern Greece: much of the charm comes from the architecture of the old area that dates back to the invasion of the Venetians between 1600 and 1700. Lunch on your own. To follow, transfer to Epidaurus in the Argolic region and visit of the beautiful theater, famous for its acoustics, still used for modern shows during the summer. Built around the fourth century BC, it was able to accommodate 14,000 people and is located in a beautiful historical-natural context where you can enjoy views of the ancient Epidaurus up to the mountains in the distance. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

- Tolo Breakfast and participation in the kitchen workshop with the preparation of 2 typical Greek dishes that will be cooked and then enjoyed. Lunch on your own. Afternoon available to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Peloponnese. In the evening, themed dinner to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

Tolo / Corinth / Athens Breakfast and departure for Athens. Short stop in Corinth, a small town in southern Greece, gateway to the Peloponnese, repeatedly mentioned in the Bible (letters from Paul to the Corinthians) which today presents itself as a center teeming with people and shops. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon meeting with the guide for the visit of the most significant monuments of the city "cradle of democracy": Syntagma Square from where the Parliament can be seen from the outside. Below you will see the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library, the Presidential Palace, the Arch of Hadrian, the Temple of Jupiter and the Panathinaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of the modern age were held (1896). At the end, hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight

- Athens Breakfast at the hotel and continuation of a guided tour of the Greek capital. You will climb the Acropolis, literally the "Upper Town" to observe the magnificent Parthenon, the temple that dominates the city, built during the Golden Age of Pericles around the fifth century. B.C. and made with local marble. Continue towards the Temple of Athena Nike (Athena the victorious) built around 424 BC. to celebrate the victory of the Athenians over the Persians. At the end visit of the National Archaeological Museum, located in a beautiful neoclassical building. Vast is the collection of statues and sculptures that provide an overview of the art of Hellenic sculpture developed over the course of a millennium. Particularly interesting is the room that preserves the remains of the Ancient Mycenaean Civilization where you can see the famous Golden Funerary Mask which was attributed by the archaeologist Heinrich Schlieman to King Agamemnon. Lunch on your own. Afternoon available and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Possibility to spend the evening at the Allou Fun Park, a large amusement park in the city. Return to the hotel for overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to return
