I wish
to participate in the Italian Exchange VI because I have always wanted to go to
another country, learn about the country and it’s culture and how much the
country is different from the United States.
The Italian Exchange program gives me that chance.
I also want to participate so I can say, “Yes I’ve been to another
country.” If I participate, it
will give me the chance to do something most people have not had the chance to
do. I also hear it is extremely
beautiful in Italy, I would love to experience and see the beauty myself.
I think participation in this program will benefit me as a student,
because it gives me a chance to learn new and different things in new and
different ways. I will benefit as a individual, because this program may
settle some of the curiosity I have about different cultures and lifestyles.
As I said before, it gives me a chance to do something new and something
most people have not had the chance to do.
I have the chance so I’m going to take it.
Lastly, I will benefit as a global citizen from the program because it
will help me understand Italy’s culture and ways.
I have always told other people not to criticize other countries’
government and lifestyles since they know nothing about it.
My experiencing these different lifestyles and government will my stand
and my opinions stronger.
My home life is…...well, kind of boring.
My mom, Sandy, works nightshift, 6 p.m.-6 a.m., at a factory.
On the nights that she has to work I take care of Andy, my 22 year old
handicap brother, and during the school week I take care of Koti, my 5 year old
nephew. I get him on and off the
bus and watch him until his mother, my sister Samantha, gets home from work.
I help out at the house by cleaning, doing the laundry, washing dishes,
feeding the animals, and taking care of my brother, and whatever else my mother
wants me to do. On the weekends I work as a dishwasher at the Little CaCapon
Diner. Occasionally, I do things
with my friends, but I usually just hang out with them at school.
My home life isn’t very interesting, but it keeps me very busy.
I like animals. My favorite
animal is a wolf, because they are loyal and are pretty to look at.
I also enjoy watching western and action movies, and cartoon.
My favorite cartoon show is Inyuyasha.
I love to read all kinds of books. I
also like little children. I
don’t like to play sports but I like to watch them.
I don’t like onions, peppers, or spicy stuff.
I enjoy going on walks, because it’s relaxing.
I like to learn about our history.
I find Indian culture fascinating, the stories of their past are also
fascinating. I like people with a
sense of humor. I like to listen to
music. My favorite type is
alternative rock. I don’t like
spiders, because I was once bitten by one.
I sometimes like school, but it usually depends on how my day is going.
My favorite subjects are History and English.
My least favorite subjects are Math and Science.
My other information is : I’m 5 foot 6 inches tall.
I have brown hair and hazel eyes. I’m
the youngest of three kids. I have
two nephews. I have a pet cat named
Zeus. My full name is Cassandra
Anne Trisdale. I’m 17 years old.
I am shy when I’ m in a
new situation or when I meet new people, but after a little while I loosen up
and I’m not as shy. I try to be
helpful as much as I can. I’m not
a good drawer. My favorite color is
green.
I
guess that’s all I can say. Thank
you for taking the time to read my essay, and thank you for considering me for
participation in the Italian Exchange VI.
